Aaron became sick with Meningococcal on the 7th of November, 2003. He suffered a cardiac arrest that same night. The fact that Aaron was still alive on the day this photo was taken was our biggest hope.

Aaron was given a 5- 25 per cent chance of surviving. His survival was hailed as a "miracle".

Aaron's little body was fighting so hard to hang in there.
