This CD celebrates 30 years of recording as a solo artist. Over the years I have written and recorded over 80 songs and this collection is 15 of my favorites. I sing a duet on three of the songs featuring the beautiful voice of Anne Hayward. The Duet song “Hooked On Me, Hooked On You” was the last song recorded in January 2007 and “Goin’ Back To The Country” was the first song I recorded in 1977.

Every song on this CD has a story, like, my dog died and my wife ran off with another man, I Know it’s an old cliché, but it’s true, like in “Whiskey and Women” and “Here We Go Again”. But on the other hand there are those songs when you fall in love and all you want to do is tell the whole world about it, like, If This Is Love and Some People.

And there are the lonesome songs, where you are somewhere, where you don’t want to be and all you can think about is home, Like “Wishing I was Homeward Bound”. I know, after 30 years on the road. And every body’s got a message song, although I wrote “Save Another Day” 20 years ago, it is still current with what is going on in the World today. Like in the Middle East. Anyway, I’m a lover not a fighter,so put on your Cowboy Boots and let’s do a Bootscootin’ Boogie Woogie.
