I would like to introduce Funky Fedoras to you. We have an experienced group of musicians that have an enormous amount of explosive energy to spice up your party or function.

If you want your party to go off with a bang, Funky Fedoras is the ideal band for you. They are just not satisfied with their audience unless they are having a good time. The Hyatt, Old Parliament House, National Museum, Convention Centre are just a few of the places the Fedoras have played, for a number of corporate and wedding events in Canberra. We have an extensive playing list, ranging from Jazz, Disco, Rock'n'Roll and Now music. If requested we are able to accommodate a special song for a special occasion.

James Luke - (Double Bass)
From being the driving force behind funk bands, to playing in orchestras at the Sydney Opera House, James has done it all. And more...
Switching seamlessly between bass guitar and double bass and all the variants, programming synths and effects on the fly, James makes it look all too easy. His current styles include Jazz (most kinds), Fusion, Celtic, Funk and Metal. With these genres he has performed at festivals everywhere including the Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Manly, Thredbo and Wangaratta Jazz festivals to mention only a few. James manages to fit in a busy touring schedule and teaching part time at the Australian National University. Despite already having completed a Bachelor of music with honours, the educational process is a continual one for this keen student of all things bass.
