James
Luke - (Double Bass)
From being the driving force behind funk
bands, to playing in orchestras at the Sydney Opera House, James
has done it all. And more...
Switching seamlessly between bass guitar and double bass and
all the variants, programming synths and effects on the fly,
James makes it look all too easy. His current styles include
Jazz (most kinds), Fusion, Celtic, Funk and Metal. With these
genres he has performed at festivals everywhere including the
Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival,
Manly, Thredbo and Wangaratta Jazz festivals to mention only
a few. James manages to fit in a busy touring schedule and teaching

having completed a Bachelor of music with honours, the educational
process is a continual one for this keen student of all things
bass. |
