Arrival:
The party participants should arrive at 2.45pm
when they will be fitted with helmets & boots provided by
Gooromon Park. The fit of helmets and boots is importants as
this is safety equipment and must be worn to participate with
the horses. Please instruct children that helmets must fit firmly.
Party will commence at approximately
3.00pm: Any child arriving after
the riding has commeneced will not be permitted to ride.
Safety Proceedures:
Our instructors will explain to the children how to conduct
themselves around the horses as horses can easily become frightened
if the children are very loud, jumping up & down, etc. This
also applies to siblings who are attending on the sidelines
and are not directly involved with the horses.
Children Introduced to Horses:
The fun begins. With children who have never riden before (pony
rides do not count) we divide the group into Two, with one group
grooming and the other group learning to vault; then we swap
groups. Vaulting is GREAT FUN, imagine riding a horse like a
circus performer. For experienced children we organise either
a trail ride or games.
Horsey section of the party will finish
4.00pm: Children will return to
the office to remove the safety equipment and adjourn to the
gardens for Food & Cake. This can be supplied at an additional
cost by Gooromon Park or the organiser of the party may choose
to cater. If self catering please remove all rubbish and place
in the bins provided.
